What's the controversy about? I'm afraid I don't see or get it.

Adam

Some people thought the dancing was lovely and inspiring, and others clumsy and inelegant.

As usual with tango-l, any opinion polarised the membership…

Charl

Hmm... to each his/her own I suppose. To me, I rather enjoyed it. I am not in a position to say whether it's good or bad as I am not an expert. Bit of a shame and sad though that some tango communities can really be quite harsh that tends to divide the group. I hope we'll simply respect and enjoy each others capabilities.

Adam

Tango does seem to suffer particularly badly from self-declared experts who are happy to tell everyone else what they're doing wrong...

Theo

Like some others, I can't see the beef. I could watch this with enjoyment anytime and I think I can learn a lot from it. And if I could manage to dance like that I would be extatic. One day maybe!

Giedre

love it!!! like all their dances!! their energy is so fresh and I do agree - I would love to dance like that one day myself :)

Giedre

can I steal this sentence (with your name) because it is soooooo true!!!!

victor

I dance tango pretty well. I tend not to participate in online tango communities though. Anyway, there were two couples dancing. The first one was good, and the second one was average. I've seen better and I've seen worse performances. It's just a video posted online; I agree with whoever says there shouldn't be much controversy over this. Tango is mostly non-competitive. In tango, you only compete with your ego (as opposed to competing with your dancing).
